MORETON ISLAND 4WD TAXI SERVICE

We can transport parties of 1 to 150 persons, and all their camping equipment or luggage, anywhere on Moreton Island.

We offer a fully licensed Taxi Service on Moreton Island, based at Bulwer. Our service vehicles are Toyota Landcruiser Troop-carrier 4WD, licensed to carry 10 passengers, in comfort, to your choice of destinations anywhere in the National Park or to accommodation at Tangalooma or in the townships of Bulwer and Cowan-Cowan.Moreton Island taxi

 

EXAMPLE OF FARES

All trips are quoted on the carrying capacity of the vehicle (i.e:- PER LOAD NOT PER PERSON). The Taxi carries 10 passengers (allow less with luggage/ camping equipment).

FROM - BULWER or COMBOYURO CAMPGROUNDS
- to Cowan Cowan $40 per trip $80 return
- to Tangalooma Resort, The Wrecks and Ben-ewa Campgrounds $80 per trip $160 return.
- to North Point, Yellow Patch, Cape Moreton $120 per trip, $240 return.
- to Blue Lagoon, Surfside $120 per trip, $240 return
- to Sandhills, Kooringal $180 per trip, $360 return

FROM - MiCAT Ferry, The Wrecks or Tangalooma Resort
Our service is based at Bulwer, to service trips from MiCat we have to allow for travel time from Bulwer to the Wrecks. We acknowledge that transfers to Tangalooma only require a short trip, but it is the time involved travelling to provide the service that adds the extra cost. However the vehicle will carry 10 passengers or a considerable amount of luggage.

Engage the Taxi to pick up your party, all your backpacks and camping equipment from the Ferry, "MiCAT - Moreton Venture" at the Wrecks, to transport you to your choice of campsites around the Island. There are 5 National Park Campgrounds, with facilities (toilets, showers), and numerous established bush campsites (no facilities, provide your own essentials).

-Sandhills - Water pump, isolated, accessible low tide only.
