MORETON ISLAND 4WD TAXI SERVICE

Want to visit Moreton Island but don't have a 4WD??

We can transport parties of 1 to 150 persons, and all their camping equipment or luggage, anywhere on Moreton Island.

We offer a fully licensed Taxi Service on Moreton Island, based at Bulwer. Our service vehicle is a Toyota Landcruiser Troop-carrier 4WD, licensed to carry 10 passengers, in comfort, to your choice of destinations anywhere in the National Park.

Want to camp in the National Park??

Engage the Taxi to pick up your party, all your backpacks and camping equipment from either of the Ferries, "COMBIE TRADER " on arrival at Bulwer, or "MiCAT - Moreton Venture" at the Wrecks, to transport you to your choice of campsites around the Island. There are 5 National Park Campgrounds, with facilities (toilets, showers), and numerous established bush campsites (no facilities, provide your own essentials).

Western beach (calm water) The Wrecks, Ben-ewa & Comboyuro

Eastern beach (surfside) Blue Lagoon, Eager's Creek.

Bush Campsites

	East - numerous sites from Camel Rock to Spitfire Creek. ( showing campsite)
	North - Yellowpatch near North Point - protected, water pump, freshwater pond.
	West - Cowan Point and along the beach north to Bulwer.
	Sandhills - water pump, isolated, accessible low tide only.

Sample of fares - all trips are quoted on the carrying capacity of the vehicle (per load, not per person) - the Taxi carries 10 passengers (less with campinggear)

From Bulwer or "Combie Trader" to:

	Comboyuro Campgrounds - $20,Cowan-Cowan - $30 per trip (load)
	Tangalooma Resort, Wrecks and Ben-ewa Campgrounds - $45 per trip. ($90 return)
	North Point, Blue Lagoon, Surfside - $65 per trip ($130 return)

From MiCAT (Moreton Venture) at the Wrecks:

	Transfers to Tangalooma Resort and Cowan-Cowan - $30 per trip ($60 return)
	to Bulwer (Comboyuro) - $45 per trip ($90 return), North Point - $80 per trip($160 return)
	to Blue Lagoon, Surfside - $65 per trip ($130 return).

The Taxi also offers:

Day Picnic Trips / Fishing Trips / Snorkelling Trips / Whale watching Trips

Passengers are taken to their destination, dropped-off and picked-up for return later on the same day.

From Bulwer, Cowan or Comboyuro Campground

	to North Point, Cape Moreton, Blue Lagoon or Surfside - $90 total, includes return on the same day (only).
	to the Wrecks, and Tangalooma Resort - $70 total.

From Wrecks, Tangalooma Resort or Ben-ewa Campground

	to Blue Lagoon and Surfside - $90 total, includes return on the same day (only).
	to Cape Moreton, North Point and Yellowpatch - $100 total.

Hire the Taxi to take you on a scenic tour of the Island.

TOUR #1 - duration approx. 4hrs. - visits North Point, Honeymoon Bay, Cape Moreton Lighthouse, Surfside, Blue Lagoon, The Wrecks, Cowan-Cowan and Bulwer. Cost - 1 to 4 persons $90 total - each additional person over 5yrs (up to 10 total) - add $15.

TOUR #2 - duration approx. 5hrs. - visits all the above and includes a sand tobogganing excursion to the Desert. Cost - 1 to 4 persons $120 total - each additional person over 5yrs (up to 10 total) - add $20.

SAND TOBOGGANING TOURS - duration approx. 3 1/2 hrs, toboggans supplied. Sand toboggan at the Desert, visits Tangalooma Resort and the Wrecks. Cost - 1 to 4 persons $80 total - each additional person over 5yrs (up to 10 total) - add $15.

Tours depart from "Moreton Venture" at the Wrecks, "Combie Trader" at Bulwer, or your choice of campsite or accommodation anywhere on Moreton Island.
